We are proud to announce the winners and finalists of Santa Clarita Sister Cities’ 2024 Young Artists and Authors Showcase, including two students who won the international showcase. For the 2024 showcase, students shared their perspective on the theme “CLIMATESCAPE: Resilient Cities for Tomorrow’s Climate,” highlighting the challenges of climate change and its impact on communities.

VISION: Santa Clarita develops and maintains international and Sister City relationships in areas of interest to its citizens, resulting in an enlightened and culturally-enriched community.
MISSION: To foster international partnerships between the City of Santa Clarita and other cities abroad to promote mutual understanding, friendship, and cooperation through reciprocal youth, cultural, educational, professional, humanitarian, and economic programs and exchanges.
2025 Young Artists and Authors Showcase
An Annual Literary and Art Competition
Santa Clarita Sister Cities, in partnership with the City of Santa Clarita, invites students to participate in the 2025 Young Artists and Authors Showcase. This annual competition is part of Sister Cities International’s youth programming and gives students, ages 12-14 and 15-18, the opportunity to express their ideas of global citizenship and universal issues.
For the 2025 showcase, students are invited to share their perspective on the theme “Friendship: The Heartbeat of Global Peace,” highlighting the power of friendship to foster understanding, collaboration and peace across borders. Categories include: Classic Art, Digital Art, Original Music, Photography, Poetry, and Essay.
