Young Artists & Authors Showcase

The annual Young Authors and Artists Showcase is part of Sister Cities International’s youth programming.  This competition gives students the opportunity to express their ideas on global citizenship and universal issues, such as the 2022 YAAS theme, “Generation Rescue: Sustainable Water for All.”  Students are invited to create art, literature, music, or photography that highlight the importance of climate change and its impact on water resources.

The Santa Clarita competition is open to students, ages 13-18, from Santa Clarita and its sister cities — Tena, Ecuador and Sariaya, Philippines.  Students should submit their entries to Santa Clarita Sister Cities by March 15, 2022.  The top 5 entries from each category will be sent to Sister Cities International to compete with submissions from other Sister Cities organizations for $1,000-grand prize per category.
