Santa Clarita Sister Cities Program is proud to announce that the work of two local students were selected as national finalists in Sister Cities International’s 2020 Young Artists and Authors Showcase (YAAS). Valencia High student Amber Lee’s artwork, titled “United We Stand,” and Saugus High student Sydney Hooper’s poem, titled “Stronger Than Ever,” made it to the final round of this annual contest. They competed with entries from other Sister Cities organizations throughout the U.S. in addressing this year’s theme, “One World: Out of Many, We Are One.” Congratulations, Amber and Sydney!
